HEIDENREICH ESTATE
ABOUT
Noel Heidenreich is a second generation grower who learnt his trade in the vineyard beside his father, Rufus, together with his siblings. Noel has never stood on ceremony and believes hard work reaps its own rewards. Finding joy in a life on the land and in a wine glass, Heidenreich Estate Wines found success without a business plan. The proof is in the bottle.
Planted first vines

The original vineyard was first planted in 1936 by Noel’s father, Rufus Heidenreich whose grandfather migrated from Germany in 1866. The vineyards and winery are located in Vine Vale on the floor of the Barossa Valley where the conditions are perfect for the production of premium Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Six of Rufus and Mary Heidenreich's seven children attended the local Vine Vale School, which later became the inspiration for the Heidenreich wine label. When the school closed in 1985 the original school bell was presented to Rufus Heidenreich. Noel & Cheryl still have this bell today.
