Wine award in Hong Kong means ‘back to school’ for Heidenreich Estate.

A win as ‘Most Beloved White Wine’ at the 2008 Hong Kong International Wine Fair has meant back to the bottling shed for local family winery, Heidenreich Estate, as they try to meet demand for their Old School ’08 Chardonnay.

The wine was voted most popular out of 28 white wines from around the world, with some 8,758 trade buyers from 55 countries and regions and over 10,000 paying public visitors attending the three day event.

Smooth and polished, this is generous at the core with blueberry, plum and white pepper flavours, pulsing under a blanket of fine tannins.  Hints at red pepper and allspice as the finish lingers enticingly. Drink now through 2014.
